La playa

LA PLAYA

Por la playa iba
caminando solo,
casi sin sentido.
El agua borraba
mis tenues pisadas,
las olas venían
y se las llevaban
y yo no hacía nada,
tan solo esperaba.
De pronto llegaste
y a mi lado fuiste
por siempre en la playa
el agua atrevida
ya no las borraba
mis tenues pisadas
allí se quedaban
muy junto a las tuyas
ya no las borraban
el agua ni el viento,
ni el tiempo ni nada.



THE BEACH

I was on the beach
walking alone,
almost meaningless.
The water washed away
my faint footsteps
the waves came
and took them
and I did nothing,
just expected.
Suddenly you came
and you were by my side
forever on the beach
daring water
no longer erased
my faint footsteps
there remaining
very close to yours
no longer erased
water or wind,
the time or anything.
